Sick of Comic Book Movies Here is a Solution

sick of comic book movies

Are you sick of Comic Books? Well, I am not saying that you should leave the comic book industry behind. However, why not take a break from the madness that is Comic Books for a while and enjoy something else? For example, why not read a great novel instead?

What novel should I choose? Actually, there are a lot of excellent books that have been turned into movies. Some of these are favorites of mine, such as “Gone with the Wind” by Ken Follett. Even though I am a huge western fan, I also enjoyed reading about the Oregon Trail. I just love the idea that Sam Houston, the sheriff of the Oregon territory, sends his boy along with other boys to see the gold rush and to find out that everyone else is going after the same gold.

There is another type of book that was made into a movie as well, and that is “The Dark Knight.” This movie was awesome. I especially loved the flying cars and all of the Batman stuff. It is definitely one of my favorite Batman stories. Maybe that is why I like this type of book so much.

But which one do I choose? Well, let’s see. First of all, I have to mention “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Neil Gaiman. This classic story was made into a wonderful movie of the year, and I recommend that you go out and see it. It is certainly worth the time.

The Curious Case of Dr Seuss

Next on my list is “The Curious Case of Dr Seuss” by Eric Carle. This is another book that I had not heard of before but really enjoys. Basically, what happens is that a girl goes to a library to look up information on a book that has been mentioned in a Doctor’s office. She stumbles upon a classic children’s book about a boy who has to rescue the world from a vampire. That is about as far as the story gets, but it is a fun book. Definitely a favorite!

Man on the Moon

The third movie that I want to mention is “Man on the Moon.” This is a great movie. The movie itself is about a guy who jumps on the moon to create a better life for himself. The interesting part is that he was just a normal guy before he did the jump, but he ends up being a hero because of what he did. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie!

There are other movies that I did not care for as much, and those are the last two on that list. Overall, I can easily say that I have been a fan of comic books since I was a child. As an adult, I enjoy seeing movies, but I still enjoy reading them.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Which movie do you think is your favorite? Is it “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” or would you prefer something along the lines of “Wreck-It Ralph” to make it easier? Just remember to leave some popcorn and drinks nearby when you watch your favorite movies!

Now that you have an idea of which comic books are your favorites, you need to determine if you want to continue reading that particular title. Sometimes it makes more sense to start reading one title and move on from there. If you start with a comic book series that you really loved, there is a chance that you will continue with it. I personally love Spiderman and Batman, so those are definitely areas in which I intend to keep myself involved for quite some time.

Do you have a favorite superhero? Who is your favorite superhero? Are you a fan of DC Comics or Marvel comics? I am a huge fan of both. It is interesting to me to see how both versions of superheroes have changed over the years.

Bottom Line

What kind of movie genre do you prefer to watch? Is it action, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, comedy, horror, or other genres? You may enjoy a certain film more than others, depending on your personal preference. Are you looking forward to seeing new movies this year? I am looking forward to Spiderman 3, and I’m looking forward to Justice League.
